My questions: can hit explain the reel codes like SWB?
Target fish Redfish, Amberjack, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, and anything else I’m lucky enough to hook up.
Would you recommend 5000 XG (or a different model like the 8000) to fish saltwater fish top water lures, free line live bait, and dead bait in upper column?
What size and brand of braid?
What Rod; model, type (medium, medium heavy, etc) and action (fast, extra fast, etc)
The ones you sell are they current models?
My thanks,
Chad

You are on the right track with an XG model, which is a higher gear ratio. That will allow you to work topwater lures effectively. You may be best bumping up to a slightly larger size if you are looking to be able to handle anything from an amberjack to a spanish mackerel. We will need more information to get you completely dialed in, and if you can give us a call we would be more than happy to set you up properly for your applications.
Hello Jerry,
I looked at the Game J rod on-line and it looks like the 4000 with pair up just fine.
You can flounder fish, with this set up no problem.
