I paired it with a tranx 500 hg spooled with #65 pp and topped off with #25 floro on on bait. Sensitive enough in the tip to feel the bite yet moderate action to pull on fish. Get one or all of them.

Hey whats up, can I use the TMS106HA for popping? If so what size poppers would you recommend for this rod?
1 Answer
Hi Mark, The Shimano Teramar TMS106MHA Inshore West Coast Spinning Rod would be a little long for popping applications. I would recommend a Shimano TZS78XHBLK Terez Spinning Rod. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tzs78xhblk-terez-spinning-rod-black.html This was specifically designed for offshore popping applcations and could accomodate a wide array of poppers. Depending on what your fishing for I would recommend a Nomad Design Chugg Norris Popper. https://www.tackledirect.com/nomad-design-chug-norris-popper-lures.html The small sizes would be ideal for when smaller size bait is present and the larger poppers for larger baits. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
