I paired it with a tranx 500 hg spooled with #65 pp and topped off with #25 floro on on bait. Sensitive enough in the tip to feel the bite yet moderate action to pull on fish. Get one or all of them.

What is this rod generally used for? I am thinking of using it for my Makaira 30000 for beach sharking.

This is more of a west coast bottom fishing/casting style rod. It would not pair well with that Makaira reel
