Beautiful reel

Got this for my sons 51 st birthday, he was headed to gulf for a big trip. The reel did the job they got some of the biggest red snapper I’ve ever seen. He was thrilled. And I loved the fish!

Avet reels have consistently been my favorite for years now. don't be alarmed by the noise or the geary feeling. its how the reels are supposed to be. very high end, very versatile reel. love it.

Reel works great I have had it for about a month now and caught kings on light lines, to shad for bait definitely recommend the reel!!!!!

Bought this reel about 2 months ago and have taken it out twice. Compact and light enough to handle fishing with it all day paired with an Edge Rod FSC LRR 7630 for flylining. I'm not exactly proficient with using lever drag but the hookups set nicely and if more power was needed, the drag can be advanced further to really lock it down.
The only thing that caused a problem for me was the J-Braid 4 strand 65lb was actually thin enough to slip into the gap between the spool and housing. That caused the reel to bind and unable to free spool. My fault for putting too much line on and an easy fix by stripping off some line. Otherwise, powerful little reel, I can't wait to see how it performs in low gear for bottom fishing.

Loaded with 50lb braid and jigged up some nice bottom fish at 350 feet.

Very nice reel. Mine is rigged with 65# Nomad and a phoenix rod. Just a great combination. The reel is great to throw and has very smooth, very strong drag just built for big Tuna.
