would the 6'3" be a good rod for haddock, pollock and cod off a boat at around 200 feet, with up to a 16oz weight for bait and jigging?
1 Answer
Wouldnt be a bad option, but this rod will perform best when you are using less than 16oz on that rod.

Thanks for your help. Please recommend a conventional few reels for the extra heavy 80 -130 and 100-200. Will be fishing for cubera and roosterfish- mainly slow trolling live bait or bottom fishing with dead bait from a kayak.

Penn Torque, Shimano Talica, Daiwa Saltiga are good reels to begin with.
