I recently purchased a variety of these Strike King Lures and after a successful run with the Chartreuse/ White lure I decided to try this Green Pumpkin Lure out. Turns out to be a great Lure for pitching, too! To my fishing conditions here on the flats, accuracy is the key to success. What's good about these STRIKE KING lures is that You can pitch them both near and far with considerable accuracy. You can overhead them when a loud plop and splash is required, or you can ease them in quietly when necessary to not spook the school. They are great fun in the shallows, where you can retrieve them just below the surface and actually see the strike coming on (Snook in particular). In the heat of the day or the cool of the early evening they have proved to be an exceptional go-to lure. Great Stuff STRIKE KING!

Worth the wait, these lures are Great!

Recently purchased a selection of these great STRIKE KING lures and am most pleased with their performance. They have worked for me in terms of a full variety of species, including Bass, Bluegill, Snook and even small to medium Tarpon.. My guess is that if I was to target more species they would fit the bill as well. Cast or slo troll, alone or combined with a soft plastic. The other advantage to these lures is that they are tough and can take a real beating. They easily out fish a whole bag of soft plastics and after numerous strikes and hookups they still look and perform like they had just come out of the package. Great Stuff, Strike King!

Fish on first outing

After much anticipation I had the opportunity to get out on the water and give this lure a good workout. I chose a spot near home to start casting. This was a place where everyone said there were no fish caught generally. But guess what! In less than a half hour of enjoyable casting in good weather and light winds I scored three nice fish of different species. Not only does this bait attract fish very well, but the hook up rate was admirable. Although not all the fish were of legal size I did score a nice red fish and released a smaller snook and a nice size blue gill from the same region of shoreline while drift casting from my boat. had a tournament on kerr lake, and the fish were munching the z man jackhammer and ended up losing 3 that day. stopped at the local tackle shop and picked up these. i had the blade come off two baits, one on a fish and one in a hang up. im sticking with the jackhammer
