Versatile Bait

I’ve had success when I’m bank fishing in shallow ponds and lakes by fishing it fast and keeping it above the slop. However, when I get the opportunity to fish deeper water or rocky bottoms I like to yo yo the bait. Either way this bait catches fish.

Anything Delta Red has been a safe bet, but I love the action on this lure. (remove the split ring) I like how versatile this Strike King has made these, I just wish it didn't get tangled in the hooks so easily (think bladebait).

I gave this lure 5 stars, it catches fish, I caught a 5 pound large mouth bass at Clearlake plus several other smaller bass about 3 weeks ago, I also ordered the 3/4oz as well, it's a great lure, very happy that I ordered them..thanks.!

Rattles are about average for a lipless. Paint job can take a beating and is what I'm most impressed about. Hooks need an upgrade, which is why I can only give it four stars. The different colors are a huge plus. A straight retrieve and yo-yo seems to work the best for me.

What depths do the lipless red eye shad run for the three sizes that you have?

It all depends on how fast your retrieve is. All three are sinking lures so run depth would depend on retrieve speed.
