I make suspending lures for both fresh and salt water fishing here in SW Florida. The range in density of the waters here, from fresh, to brackaish, to bay, to Gulf are varied enough so that a lure that suspends in one body of water will sink or float in another. To compensate for this requires the ability to quickly adapt the lure to ithe water being fished. I can't imagine a better solution than these Storm SuspendStrips. They work out perfectly every time I've used them. I've read complaints about how they don't stick to a lure body or come loose and fall off in fishing, but have never experienced that. To be safe though, I carry a small bottle of CA glue that I apply to the srtip once I have it trimmed to the size needed to suspend a lure. It is simple one of the best fishing aid products out there IMHO.
