As good as ever
July 9, 2022
I have two old model inshore rods that I have been quite happy with and I must say that I am pleased with the new model mojo inshore rods. I have no complaints.
Cons
  • I liked the rounded cork handles of the old models more as opposed the the squared corked handles of the new model.

Very Light rod and a nice color. Use it for perch fishing with tiny crankbaits, like the Illex (Jackall) Chubby.

Great rod with lots of power
July 19, 2021
I have this rod paired with a shimano tranx 301. Cast great. I can easily cast a 1oz egg sinker over 100 yards with very little effort. Great rod for casting big plugs and big swimbaits.
Pros
  • Well made.
  • Comfortable to cast.
  • Cast far.
  • Plenty of backbone.
Cons
  • None at this time

Originally had this paired with a 13 fishing reel but recently switched to a penn fathom low profile. It cast great and so far has performed as expected. This is my 2nd mojo inshore, had previous model. Like this one just as much. We will see how it holds up long term.

Great Fluking Rod
March 11, 2018
Have this paired with a Abu 6500 and use it mostly for inshore fluking and ocean days when i can hold with less than 4. Very light and plenty of backbone for those days the bluefish are around.
Pros
  • Light, strong and sensative

Good rod, not great.

I own both the casting and spinning St. Croix Mojo inshore rods and they struggle landing small fish. Super sensitive rods, you can feel every grain of sand when working a weight on the bottom.
