This harpoon is a 2 piece throwing or cockpit harpoon which is 96 inches long which includes the pike which is another 12 inches (approx ). It has great throwing balance and is easy to use. The weight in the head of the harpoon is removable. It can be used on Tuna/Swordfish or Sharks. These Harpoons are made of aircraft grade 6061 T aluminium --one inch diameter and are sand blasted/hard coated with a special marine powder coat . They are fitted with machined marine bronze fittings and fitted with a 316 stainless steel shank . It has a special sealing system which allows us to use no pins or rivets in the construction of the harpoon. Its patent pending line holder for the harpoon which keeps the dart on the shank without the use of tape . This Harpoon was made and designed with extreme attention to detail and quality by New England anglers and harpooners who have a passion for Tuna fishing.

I came here just looking at mako fishing gear from the fish gear finder

I would certainly suggest against darting a mako near your boat unless you want a toothy 400lb very angry fish that could wind up on your deck unannounced. If you came here for shark fishing gear for mako or other large sharks, GET A BANG STICK. In most places they don't consider them a firearm and take all the worrying out of dispatching those fish. Now for tuna and mahi on the other hand, these things are great. With a little practice you will be hitting your mark 99 percent of the time!
