- Shimano® TC4 Construction®
Shimano has engineered the new responsive TC4 Construction material to elevate your fishing experience. The TC4 Construction material wraps a double inner layer of advanced, dynamic T Glass with an inner and outer spiral of high modulus graphite. This breakthrough in design construction results in an extremely durable, crisp, yet lightweight rod. - Fuji® Concept Alconite® Guides
A very strong and durable material, Alconite is the latest in a long line of ceramic rings developed by Fuji®. Alconite is so durable it can be made thinner than any other ring, so strong it will hold up to all kinds of fishing demands. Alconite has an 80% greater compression strength and is 20% lighter than aluminum oxide, making it one of the toughest rings used for fishing, as well as one of the lightest. - Fuji® Reel Seat
Built to last Fuji® reel seats are designed with graphite nylon bodies, exclusive S-4 Stainless Steel hoods, with lined cushioned inserts to offer a lightweight reel seat with superior strength. Uniform design for increased comfort and self aligned hoods provide a solid lockdown on your reel foot that will never back off while fishing.

I would like a shorter 6" rod for party boat fishing in NJ, wrecks and bottom fishing mostly. Occasionally stripers. Longer rod at a problem on crowded boats. I have a Calcutta 400 b should I go with the MH or heavy rod/
