Built to give you the upper hand against the most formidable deep-dwelling sea monsters, the Shimano Terez BW Swordfish Rods make use of the most advanced technologies and finest components. Built on Shimano's most advanced blanks to date, the Terez BW rods benefit from three proprietary Shimano blank technologies — Hi-Power X, Spiral X, and UD Glass construction. Spiral X construction consists of multiple layers of carbon tape that tightly wind the blank diagonally in opposite directions, resulting in enhanced torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. UD Glass greatly enhances rod strength while retaining the ability to flex. This combination of rod technologies increases the structural rigidity of the rods so that they remain true under load while enabling anglers to efficiently transfer power through the blank for much needed fighting power in heavy offshore applications. Equipped with the highest quality components, the Terez BW Swordfish Rods feature durable Fuji SiC Guides and a Winthrop roller tip to minimize the stress a giant swordfish can put on your line. When paired with the proper dendoh electric power assist reel, the Terez BW Swordfish Rods offer you the best shot a successfully landing one of these magnificent beasts. These rods are sold as blade-only, allowing anglers to pair them with whatever straight, bent, or adjustable uni-butt best suits their application.

Very technical

You can tell allot work and high tech went into these rods. Would be hard to find someone to make a custom stick this nice. The 8 Guides are small but strong and tight to the rod with a smaller Winthrop roller tip. Which makes the rod super sensitive. Pairing with a Winthrop T-10X. Lookin forward to dropping some weights, that’s when the test really starts. Going to be close to 8’ once the butt is on it.
Pros
  • Light, quality components, good looking, reasonable price, long, super super light.
Cons
  • Haven?t found one yet.
