I have the 4000HG model. Good reel for the price. I have it for 2 years now and use it for saltwater inshore fishing (seabass fishing in Europe), it still works. I do rinse it with water after use and put some oil. Never opened it though.
Pros
- Strong and smooth drag
- Lightweight
- Tough
- Good looking
Cons
- The retrieve handle is the type thats attached with a bolt on the other side, These handles always have a lot of play. I prefer the handle type that screws directly into the main gear.
- It has a little switch to be able to reel back, no need for that, only possibility of saltwater getting in.
- Every once in a while i can feel the gears during retrieve ( can't complain for the price).

Bought this reel for wade fishing so I didn’t drop expensive reels in water , awsome reel for the price caught big reds and specs on it still works great!
