I pick up the reel and rod combo and i have to say i love it so far. Its smooth and casts great. When i received it the reel was missing its handle so i called up tackledirect and they had me a new handle sent out with in a few days.

We would recommend the 2500 size. The 3500 is virtually the same sized reel as the 4500 just with a smaller spool that holds a bit less line. 2500 will still hold plenty of line and will be a great option for reds and trout.

That combo is better for inshore/ back bay fishing. Depending on what and where you are fishing you typically want a 9 ft - 12 ft surf fishing pole.
