Offering the perfect solution to the common frustration of storing previously used sabiki rigs, the Okuma Cortez SBK Sabiki Rods utilize a unique interline blank design where the entire sabiki rig is able to be stored within the blank itself. Simply retrieve the rig all the way up until the weight reaches the tip. This design keeps your bait catching set up ready for use at a moment's notice, and most importantly, shields your sabiki rig from the rest of your tackle to prevent nightmare tangles. These rods do not make use of conventional rod guides, but rather have a specially designed tip that allows the rig and its many small hooks to be retracted into the rod without getting hung up, along with an opening just above the handle where the line threads through and out to your reel.

Features:

  • Interline rod design for convenient sabiki rig storage
  • Responsive and durable 24-ton carbon blank construction
  • Butt-jointed two-piece construction
  • Okuma exclusive design tip to eliminate sabiki hook hang-ups
  • Okuma Stronger DPS reel seat
  • EVA foregrips and durable shrink tube reargrips
  • Okuma rubber gimbal on all models
  • High quality line guide system special for interline rods

Makes bait fishing so much more pleasurable

These are great for bait fishing. No more hassles once you have made bait for the day - just roll all of those little hooks up inside the rod, throw it in a rodholder and get on with the day. These will probably save you money in the long-term with all of the tangled sabiki rigs you won't have to replace.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a pack of Shimano Butterfly Jig Cocoons, and thread the Cocoon down the rod. Fish your sabikis with a slim epoxy jig as the weight, and wrap it with the Cocoon when you are done. Makes it super easy to put these rods away and super fast to put them back in play.

Better quality sabiki rod than other brands. A must have if you make live bait, as dealing with sabiki rigs can be a pain. More than worth the money!
