Great rod for moderate to large Tuna/Mahi
February 25, 2015
I had used this rod on a ship I used to work on and have landed Yellowfin up to 125 lbs and Mahi up to 55lbs. It is reasonably priced and has plenty of backbone. after 5 years of not being able to fish, I am able to fish again. I did not think twice about ordering this rod. The casting model is just as proven as the spinning rod. Given its price and proven durability, I would have no doubts recommending this to a friend.
Pros
  • Strenth, Durability, price and quite attractive too.
Cons
  • none

Okuma Cedros Jigging Spinning
November 13, 2014
This is a good, lower-priced option for a jigging, spinning rod. Okuma makes better rods (Andros), but they are less affordable for the fisherman on a budget. The rod is a little heavy in comparison to some others I use regularly, but it should handle anything I throw at it.
Pros
  • Price, looks, strength

I was on the verge of ordering an Okuma CJ-S-601XH spinning jigging rod, unfortunately there is none in stock. When next will you be getting a new stock? Have a planned fishing trip coming up at the end of next month.

Tackle direct mentions handle style A while the okuma official site mention this model has a B type handle and what is the power of this rod?
1 Answers
It is the B model handle, with the split butt and aluminum gimbal.
