The Nomad DTX Minnow is the ultimate inshore and offshore trolling lure. They are ideal for a wide variety of species including striped bass, big salmon, kingfish, yellowtail, tuna and wahoo. This trolling lure features Nomad Design's Autotune, Hydrospeed, Diamond Armour, and Gorilla Through Wire advanced design technologies. The autotune design provides maximum diving depth and ensures that the lure is always swimming straight, while the Diamond Armour and Gorilla Through Wire system make for an incredibly durable bait that still functions flawlessly after catching as many as 50 fish. Nothing dives deeper and runs truer than a DTX minnow, and you can count on them to do so for as long as you own one. Fitted with super strong split rings and BKK inline single or treble hooks, the DTX Minnow is ready for any challenge and can be fished with confidence straight out of the box.

Built like a tank

I was looking at Magbay wahoo trolling jigs which from what I can tell are truly top of the line. I got to talking to a fellow fisherman while fishing the faralon islands on a daytrip out of Berkeley Ca. We must have spent 2 hours discussing all aspects of saltwater fishing. (Its a 3 hr trip to the islands). Of ALL the lures we spoke of, he explained his experience with this 1 as by far the most productive for wahoo on his last long range trip out of San Diego (multiday). This was the lure that the wahoo just smashed in this particular color pattern. If you can get the 220mm one even better. His advice - buy a few as they just attack them so hard.

These things catch fish and run true every time. Worth the extra money to buy a quality diver that will run true and wont develop a case of the wiggles and shakes. Highly recommend. Fish short in the wash, or way long....you wont regret it.

Trolling lures like these isn't my go to technique. I've tried trolling these in New England, primarily for small bluefin tuna and striped bass. They swim beautifully. I think the innovative line attachment is really a stroke of genius - these rarely wash out and really get down in the water column. That being said, I haven't had a ton of success on these, but I think that probably has more to do with me than the lure. I will continue to give them a shot.
