I was looking at Magbay wahoo trolling jigs which from what I can tell are truly top of the line. I got to talking to a fellow fisherman while fishing the faralon islands on a daytrip out of Berkeley Ca. We must have spent 2 hours discussing all aspects of saltwater fishing. (Its a 3 hr trip to the islands). Of ALL the lures we spoke of, he explained his experience with this 1 as by far the most productive for wahoo on his last long range trip out of San Diego (multiday). This was the lure that the wahoo just smashed in this particular color pattern. If you can get the 220mm one even better. His advice - buy a few as they just attack them so hard.

These things catch fish and run true every time. Worth the extra money to buy a quality diver that will run true and wont develop a case of the wiggles and shakes. Highly recommend. Fish short in the wash, or way long....you wont regret it.

Trolling lures like these isn't my go to technique. I've tried trolling these in New England, primarily for small bluefin tuna and striped bass. They swim beautifully. I think the innovative line attachment is really a stroke of genius - these rarely wash out and really get down in the water column. That being said, I haven't had a ton of success on these, but I think that probably has more to do with me than the lure. I will continue to give them a shot.

Depends at what depths the fish are at, let it out farther to go deeper. 75-100 ft behind the boat is a good starting point.

Some days the fish will want a larger bait and some days they are keyed in on smaller bait, Any of the sizes from 100-200 will work.

Why is it that your pink lures are always out of stock ?

Pink is a very popular color that catches fish attention. Depending on what you are fishing for and the area you fish some colors work better than others. It all depends on the kind of bait around and if the fish you are targeting favors that color.... Only way to find that out is to give it a try! Hot Pink and Hot Pink Mackerel are available to order, it takes approximately 3-4 weeks to come in at this time.
