Megabass X-DAD, a bottom-tapping crankbait, is often referred to as ''Uchida Craw'' (Signal Crayfish) by the lure's creator, Yuki Ito. X-Dad is a craw-like suspending crankbait that is designed to perform under tough conditions such as shad kills, where water temperatures drop precipitously low and result in massive die-offs and largely inactive bass.
The X-DAD mimicks the crayfish, the food choice for many bass, tapping along the bottom as a crayfish would, while remaining incredibly snagless. Designed to suspend to depths of roughly 10ft, the X-DAD's elongated lip taps along bottom structure, giving off seductive wiggles and vibrations with each deflection.
