The Megabass SP-96ML Shadow Pangea rod is designed for a mobile run and gun approach targeting sea bass in rivers and estuaries and flat fish in surf. This rod has been tested to be perfectly balanced. It is tuned to have the flexibility and tension to hook short bites with certainty. This rod will work well for a variety of lures and baits, such as minnows, vibrations bait, spin tail jigs, metal jigs and jig head worms. The high tension 6-axis shaft and guide settings allow this rod to have great casting ability even under high winds.

LIGHT STRONG AND CASTS A MILE. THIS IS DEFINITELY WHERE THE FUTURE OF FISHING IS GOING. THE DAYS OF BROOMSTICKS ARE OVER , MORE COMPANIES WILL JUMP IN AND THE PRICES WILL DROP , I HAVE MINE TEAMED WITH A SHIMANO TWIN POWER XD 4000 15.5 OZ TOTAL WEIGHT I CAN FISH ALL DAY .

I was waiting for a rainy Saturday to finally go look at this rod. Wanted to look at it all summer but was either traveling or it was to nice and had to fish. Finally got what I wanted. Rainy Saturday Labor Day weekend. With no intentions of buying the rod but just going to look at I drove to egg harbor. As soon as the rod was in my hands I knew I was going to buy it. 10' ML surf rod to throw lures under an ounce (30 grams) whatever you want to call it. Took it out that day in 20-25 mph east winds and threw a 3/4 bucktail the length of a jetty. I was very pleased. But rain and wind I was not staying out very long with no fish. 3 days later I get out with it again and get my first fish on it. A large ( not giant) butterfly ray 50-60 pounds( I was looking for fluke) this rod performed so well and at no point was I concerned about landing this fish. It was also on a sustain4000 with 20 power pro and 25 Seaguar leader with a 50 tactical angler clip. I can't say enough good things about any one of these products but together they made for a power house of an ultralight setup.

Shimano Stella 4000xg with 30lbs j braid will work fine on this rod???.....

The Megabass SP96ML Shadow Pangea Rod would be a good fit with the Shimano Stella 4000XG with 30lb braid.

The Megabass SP96ML Shadow Pangea Rod rod is made in japan. It's guides are stainless steel framed and there is 8 guides. This rod is made of coreplex graphite.
