I was waiting for a rainy Saturday to finally go look at this rod. Wanted to look at it all summer but was either traveling or it was to nice and had to fish. Finally got what I wanted. Rainy Saturday Labor Day weekend. With no intentions of buying the rod but just going to look at I drove to egg harbor. As soon as the rod was in my hands I knew I was going to buy it. 10' ML surf rod to throw lures under an ounce (30 grams) whatever you want to call it. Took it out that day in 20-25 mph east winds and threw a 3/4 bucktail the length of a jetty. I was very pleased. But rain and wind I was not staying out very long with no fish. 3 days later I get out with it again and get my first fish on it. A large ( not giant) butterfly ray 50-60 pounds( I was looking for fluke) this rod performed so well and at no point was I concerned about landing this fish. It was also on a sustain4000 with 20 power pro and 25 Seaguar leader with a 50 tactical angler clip. I can't say enough good things about any one of these products but together they made for a power house of an ultralight setup.
