The Lucky Craft Pointer 100SP Jerkbait Lure is designed with low center of gravity through the use of special brass weights. The low center of balance causes the lure to wobble and vibrate whenever the retrieving motion is stopped. This lure will suspend 4-5 ft deep and will emit an intriguing bass calling vibration while in the suspended state. A short twitch of the fishing rod will generate the "Walk the Dog" action under the water.

limited use - but performed as advertised

I like the quality of Lucky Craft lures. This particular suspending bait had really great action regardless of type of retrieve. Unfortunately, I lost it in a jetty, the rocks were very large with deep crevices and I was unable to retrieve the lure. These are not cheap! Lesson learned

I once saw my Dad kill stripes with this. One after another. Its pricey but sometimes you get what you pay for.

Solid middle end jerkbait
February 15, 2020
This is a fantastic jerkbait somewhere between rapala and megabass quality. It has a more aggressive action than rapala lures, so it is better for warmer water bass. Like Florida bass! Works well burned, jerked, and paused.
Pros
  • Great bait
  • horizontal action is on point
Cons
  • breaks easily (one cast into a rock split the bait's back)

Great lure
December 17, 2016
Lucky craft makes some of the best lures around. The price is reasonable for what you get and the products work. These jerkbaits are great for fresh or saltwater fishing (change the hooks for saltwater), they cast great, and the detail/color options are the best. It is a jerkbait so the way to fish it is to... jerk (the rod tip toward you) then pause... jerk, jerk, then pause. Leave slack in your line for best bait movement. The cadence of the ( jerk, pause) technique is up to the user but once you find the right rhythm and speed you'll have more luck. Lucky craft lures are frequently on sale too!
Pros
  • Catchs all kinds of fish, color options, and works as designed.
