The Jackall Crosstail Shad is the world's first worm developed specifically for drop shotting. First developed for the Japanese market in 1999, the Crosstail shad became a staple among Japanese tournament anglers. After making its way to the US market, the Crosstail Shad is among the most highly regarded drop shot baits by largemouth and smallmouth anglers alike. Often imitated but never effectively duplicated, these soft plastics are hand poured and heavily salt impregnated for additional buoyancy, resulting in a bait that naturally sits horizontal in the water when on a drop shot rig. The hydrodynamic design of the lure's cross shaped tail section catches water from multiple angles, causing the tail to twitch and flicker with minimal movement of the rod tip.
