A good winter-run rod. A great summer-run rod. In other words, our best all-around steelhead rod. This is an especially good choice for fishing small to medium-sized rivers where you have sufficient room to work a fish once it's hooked. It balances perfectly with ten puound line and 1/2-ounce lures, and it's surprisingly strong. Strong enough, in fact, to handle most smaller salmon species.

After using a Shimano Clarus for a long time, switching to this fishing pole has been nothing short of incredible. This fishing pole is strong enough to fight big salmon/steelhead and is light enough to where you can literally fish all day. Highly recommended!!
