Off shore 6500

My favorite reel by far. Drag is amazing and absolutely screems when the monsters take off. Use for shore fishing the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Michigan trolling for salmon. Super strong and has never lost its smoothness. Really enjoy it.

Would the 7500 be usable for popping for gt and other palagics, or would the ratio be too slow?
1 Answer
The Fin-Nor OFS7500A Offshore Spinning Reel normally wouldn't be used because the reel is a bit slow. Normally you would need a quicker reel like the Penn SLAIII8500HS Slammer III Spinning Reel. The HS model has that higher gear you would need for that application.

Hey! I am looking to purchase this reel for piers, surf, and other inshore bottom fishing applications. What rod would you recommend for the previously mentioned applications in the 4500 size spinning reel? Also, would this reel be good for redfish, black drum, and other inshore bottom feeders?
1 Answer
The Fin Nor 4500 would be the best option for the application your using the reel for. Other options besides this reel would be a Penn Slammer 5500 or Daiwa BG 4500.

You already went this far to make this beautiful bulletproof reel, why not go with the 14 bearings as well and 6:1 ration and to top it off 25-29oz reel for shoreline?
1 Answer
I wish i could answer that question for you. We are just a retailer for Fin Nor and to my knowledge this reel is an exceptional reel with all the components to enjoy your saltwater fishing experience. Sorry i could not be of better assistance for you at this time.
