Everol Special Series Two Speed Reels are designed to tame the largest of gamefish. These reels shift effortlessly between the high (3:1) and low (1.6:1) gears even under the most extreme conditions. The Everol Two-Speed reels feature a gearbox with stainless steel gears. To provide the highest performance, they are assembled on seven double shielded stainless steel ball bearings and two self lubricating bearings made of FERROZELL (a special material made of cotton fibers permeated with phenolic resin that provides superior performance). Like all Everol Reels, the Two Speeds are made using only the finest anticorrosive components ( Anticorodal 3571 which is turned by CNC machines then gold anodized with stainless steel AISI 316).
  • Traditional Everol drag system with a graduated scale on a green side plate.
  • Unique drag stop system which allows the angler to place the maximum drag position anywhere along the arc of the drag lever.
  • Seven double shielded, stainless steel ball bearings, plus two self lubricating bearings.
  • Stainless steel and carbon fiber drag system
  • Quick 3:1 gear ratio in high speed; powerful 1.6:1 gear ratio in low speed.
  • Easy and reliable shifting mechanism

Everol 14/0 2-Speed
May 24, 2019
I bought two of the Everol 14/0’s in 2-Speed reels. The reason I went with these is because they’re 1 lb lighter than the Avet 130’s and 2 lbs lighter than the Accurate ATD 130’s. Plus their gear ratio is a tat better than the Avet and almost the same as the ATD. But these reels have tons of more drag than both of them. Quote: Not that I’ll ever use anything over 60-70 lbs though.
Pros
  • Light weight, small hub diameter which means more line capacity, and very versatile.
Cons
  • None

Ton of power in smaller package!
May 1, 2018
After a lot of research, and discussions with Keith Wichmann of Everol, I decided to go ahead with buying the Everol Canyon Special 4/0 two speed reel.

Matching this with an Okuma Makaira trolling rod, and spooled with over 800yds of 80# Xtreme Braid, I now have a powerhouse reel capable of handling most anything that comes our way here on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.

While I was torn between the Everol Canyon 4/0 and 6/0 Wide two speed, I am more then happy that I went with the smaller 4/0 two speed. The captain and crew aboard Marlin Chaser, the boat I fish on, could not believe a 4/0 sized reel not only had more drag then our Tiagra 50 wide two speeds, but was so much lighter.

It took hooking into, then landing, an Atlantic Blue Marlin between 250# to 300# to quickly make believers out of everyone on board.

I have owned game reels from Penn, Shimano, Duel, and Alutecnos over the years...This Everol Canyon Special 4/0 two speed is the cream of the crop...The Rolls Royce of game fishing reels...for this satisfied angler's money.
Pros
  • Exceptional construction and finish. Everol drag system is the smoothest I have found. Love their safety feature on the drag.
  • Light weight package with the drag of reels far bigger.

This is a great series of reels that I use from land-based shark fishing to offshore canyon tuna fishing.

I don't live near any tackle shops that have the resources to spool a reel like this. I don't want to do it myself because I don't want to mess up the spooling process and then lose the fish of a lifetime. Can you spool the reel with the line I will buy from your website and then send it to me?
1 Answer
Hello Ben,

Yes, we will gladly spool your reel prior to shipping! Monofillament line is complimentary with your reel purchase. If you would like any other type of line, you would have to purchase the line but we will gladly put it on the reel for you prior to shipping at no extra cost. Just throw a note in the "Order notes" section with what you would like done and we will make it happen!

I live near a decent sized reservoir here in Louisiana. I have heard stories of people getting their line broke by catfish in there. This is heavily guided for big flathead and blues. These guides use 100 pound braid typically. I want to know if the 20/0 two speed would be a good option to go after these things. I am worried it might be too light.

This reel is one of the biggest conventional reels in the open market if not the biggest. This reel in my opinion would be to big for the application your intending to use this reel for.

The 20/0 size will hold several thousand yards for 200# braid. These are massive reels generally used for giant tuna or sharks. There is no way that the 20/0 will be too light, in fact

Are these series reel available in left hand. If so, how much extra and wait time?
1 Answer
Unfortunately, we do not have the Everol Two Speed Special series in a left-handed model. The Everol website claims that left-handed models are available. But, I had a difficult time finding any on the internet. Sorry for the inconvenience.
