Caused rust problems,but their design ,and performance,was still above any other competitor in the market.
Everol later constructed these reels with stainless steel ,and anodized aluminum,with bushings on every shaft.
These were then Gold colored,with Black side plates;with this change of materials they improved 1000% %,since
They already had the superior design.
Then came the Everol Specials,with similar design ,and construction as the previously mentioned models
BUT every shaft in its design has Needle Bearings(again stainless steel).
And again ,it's superior brake materials ,Ferrodo,of carbon fiber ,used,as I understand in most Italian race bred
Racing Cars in their brakes,and clutches.
I do not,work,or represent,or recieve any financial reward for what I stating in relation to these Everol Reels,
Which I consider The Best Ever,but I truly believe that in all fairness to any angler,who wants to fish,and compete with
The best,you should try an Everol.
I am only preaching because of personal experience.
I have been fishing (blue Marlin still my favorite)for around 60 years,strictly with Everols;
I probably own over 20 of them ,all Specials,from 2 1/2 /0-12/0 having caught Blue Marlin from 12ib test on my 2 1/2/0
Thru 80lb test on my9/0.
Most of my reels are over 40 years old,and they are still top performers.
I am still using the 9/0 special that caught the first Blue Marlin over 800 lbs(814)off Puerto Ricoback in July 1979.
I have fished my Everols in :Venezuela,Panama,Guatemala ,Jamaica,Baja California,Dominican Republic,and
Of course Puerto Rico,and have never had one failure from my Everols.
