I've heard from professionals that a Striper can only see (in normal conditions in thee sound) from 2 to 4 feet. (Maybe a quick troll), but sound is amplified 5 times underwater. So I bought these rattles to insert into the paddletails of my Mojo's Swim Shads. Its a balance between amount of noise produced vs. the ability to fit the rattle into the actively moving part of the Paddletail. Small fits and I have a feeling they'll see it before they see it. I poke a hole with the hook point of a "long toothed" Siwash type hook and then insert the rattle and stretch the rubber over the rattle. Otherwise it keeps slipping back out again.

When the bite gets slow, it's nice to have something extra to try to give you a little more confidence. Nicely made, durable, easy to use, and they definitely rattle when you shake your lure.

The shrimp were fire before I added this in, now they are even hotter.

Use these ship on pilings and around structures. Always get the hit on the way down, with a very very light jerking action.

These are great for replacing lures that lost their rattles and for adding to DOA shrimp that don't have them. They can also be added to lures that didn't have rattles before. They produce a great sound and good for all species.

I glued one of these rattles onto a striped plug that I shaped. DOA Glratts glass rattle gave the plug just enough noise . I can hardly wait to give it a try next. August.
