The head's dense tungsten construction allows it to be smaller than a traditional lead head of the same weight, increasing the jig's sinking speed, maximizing sensitivity, and reducing the possibility of getting hung up in heavy cover. The head also features a flattened keel that makes skipping the jig under docks and overhanging structure much easier.
