Cast control system incorporates Avet's Patented Adjustable Intensity Polar Amplification Technology to create the most efficient and easy to use cast control system for a conventional style reel. I grew up on the east coast fishing for stripers, blues and Blue Fin. I love the star drag from these guys because I feel it work better for me on the smaller fish that I now fish fo run Northern California. I am fishing 2 star drags and 2 of their traditional lever drags for met salmon set up this year. stand by for report!

The Star MXL and MXJ both list line capacity at 600 yds. Shouldn’t the MXJ be less? And what is the max drag pressure for them?

Yes, MXJ sizes will hold about 470yds of 50lb braid. Max drag is expected at 20lbs.
