The Anchorman Wreck Anchors are not made from recycled rebar, they have a simple design and made from a durable material. The material helps eliminate anchor loss. These anchors are low maintenance and require only a can of black spray paint. They are perfect anchors for any size boat and will grab any bottom wreck/structure. These anchors are used by both everyday fishermen and charter boat captains.

Easy to get out after keeping you snug to the wreck.. highly recommend adding a zip tie to your order and rigging it to the back of the anchor.

Needed an anchor asap for shad fishing on the Delaware River. Lost two due to high flows. TD replaced it in unbelievably quick time and didn’t even charge shipping. Thanks for your service and blue chip inventory of products!

Quote of the trip since we started using it - "this anchor is the ****ing truth"
Pros
  • Zero trouble hooking up even on a mussel bed
  • No issues popping off even in heavy structure
  • Noticeably cheaper than a Minn Kota
Cons
  • Your captain will take forever to adjust to the quicker snags
  • If you don't pay attention to bending back the tines before storage then you're in for a treat trying to get it out next trip

Wonderful

Used it a few times this year for tautog fishing. Hook your anchor line so you can reverse it if it gets hung and don't use a chain! I pull up on it and it has come right out every time. Impressed to say the least. Jack

Amazing reef anchor
June 10, 2020
I bought this anchor for nearshore/offshore wrecks and reefs outside of Charleston on my 23’ center console. I ended up using this as my all around anchor as I catch bottom in pretty much anything although it does drag a little in the sand. Charleston has large tides sometimes around 8pm swings so it’s able to hold very strong and come up without much of an issue.

simply the best one you can buy. First time using it just dropped it over and dragged it till it hooked up, then we hooked up. held great in a pretty good swell and came up easy. hope all future deployments go as well. definitely get one!
Pros
  • Its better in every way over most homemade types I imagine. No rust stains

Works great, even with anchor ball
May 11, 2018
I attached chain to top and zip tied bottom. Kept 30’ center console in place, even on windy days. Worked fine on hard bottom, which was my concern before purchase.
Pros
  • Top and bottom attachment loops.
  • Works with anchor ball.

I have a 27 footer and looking for second anchor and one I could use when fishing over reefs/rocky bottom. Should i get 12 or 18 lbs anchor? Also i am assuming i would need chain too, right?
1 Answer
MP,

With a 27' boat you should get the 18lb anchor,  Most people zip tie the line onto the shank of the anchor to create a release system when pulling the anchor up from the wreck. The chain is not needed. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

I have a 17 foot Aquasport and fish on coral reefs. I alway struggle to get my grapple anchor up because it will not bend do to the small boat we are fishing in. Do the prongs bend under moderate pressure for a easier release?
1 Answer
This will not bend easily its a super sturdy anchor.

I want to use this anchor to fish the Delaware river...very large boulders and sometimes rocky bottom...my boat is a g3 almost 18 ft with a 15 horse 4 stroke Yamaha....do u recommend this anchor for the Delaware and what size if u do?
1 Answer
The 12lb should work well for you if there is enough structure for the anchor to catch on to, sounds like it should work well for you.

On a 23' center console, do you yes chain with

this anchor and if so how much

1 Answer
For example, your 22 foot boat does not have enough storage space to fit the 14 lb anchor. You can choose to go with the 10 lb model, and rather than only using the 3-4 foot minimum chain, increase that to 8-12 feet for offshore use, and 6-10 feet for lakes & rivers.

Is a chain reccomended? Would a chain make it more prone to hanging up? Thanks
1 Answer
For a wreck anchor you can tie direct to the anchor. Most people zip tie the line onto the shank of the anchor to create a release system when pulling the anchor up from the wreck. The chain is not needed.

Do the tines easily bend when up lifting the anchor, and can I use regular pull tight plastic ties
1 Answer
I went and checked out this anchor and I do not believe they would bend easily. Regular zip ties would work as a release for this anchor.
