The extra V shaped end is a great concept for extra leverage for getting the hook out easier. Used last weekend on some Speckled Trout. Quality made product, but the shaft did bend a little on the bigger fish.

- The shaft could be a little stronger, it bent slightly on the larger fish.

I have yet to use the dehooker but I am initially very satisfied. I showed a friend and he was also impressed. It doesn't look to be heavy duty but the rod is very stiff and I expect it will work well. There are much heavier duty ones for larger fish but this one looks to me that it will work small to medium sizes. I anticipate that after using it a few times I will give it 5 stars.

Well constructed, high grade stainless steel, nice beefy rubber coated handle. Removes hooks nice and easy as long as they are not in your own mouth. Takes some of the fun out of blue fishing...
