These things are deadly for Striped Bass, but really get hacked up by Bluefish making using a metal leader mandatory. The leader lessens the action of this lure but saves it from the Bluefish if still intact after the attack. Enough of this nonsense just to say it's a pretty decent lure.

The 5" tails are good for the 2 & 3 oz jig heads. The 6" tails are for the 4 & 5 oz heads.

The Al Gags Whip It Fish is my go to jig for the CCC. This bait has proved itself time after time.
Pros
- The tail and body both move separate of each other.
Cons
- You should use super glue or zip ties to hold body on jig head longer. This isn't unlike every other soft bodied minnow jig on the market though.

Use all sizes of Gags whip-it fish and eels and matching jig heads. Nice durable plastics with great action, especially with matching jig heads. Cast well and get down deep fast.
