Is this reel good for fishing of the bank on the columbia?

what is the best choice of line to go on this reel for striper fishing? mono, fluoro, or braid?

We all use braid. You can use higher tset line, put more on the reel, it's more sensitive, and has zero stretch. Just remember to use a 2 -3 foot length of fluorocarbon leader. 30# braid is great and use 20# or 30# leader.
