Big stripers

This is one of my go to big striper lures. When I know the big fish are around this is the first soft plastic that I pull out. I love how big this bait is and the rigged version comes rigged perfectly with the second hook. They have great action because of how long and slender they are and they are super durable to hold up against a bunch of big fish.

They look like a giant Slug-go. Might have to give one of these bad boys a shot instead of my normal gulp or Slug-go as a live eel replacement

Don't get me wrong, I love fighting a slimy, attitude-giving, line-twisting, eel when I am trying to hit bass in the wash. Who wouldn't? Special bags, special hooks, an old dirty sock to grab 'em...the best surf fishing experience ever...Right? Whose with me?
Or--slap one of these on a good swimbait hook and WHAM! Nothing like a cow on a 14" Hogy to make you question if your rod can handle that fish.
These are must-have for me and I even carry them down to the Gulf and they're amazing with snook and bull reds.

When looking at the product on a smart phone it states "Hogy 14 inch 3 pack". The picture shows the lures nicely rigged, in several colors, with hooks, laying on the beach. You then select color and "Add to Cart" then "Check out." In the description several lines down it does state "un-rigged" but you do not see this on a smart phone so if you go straight to check out the picture makes you think you are getting "RIGGED" lures. But actually with shipping you pay $5.00 a piece for three pieces of rubber / no hooks.

I hate to use real eel but I cannot ignore the productivity with eel
that is why I choose this long plastic which imitate eel.

14 inch Hogys are big baits. They weed out the bigger fish from smaller fish when they are feeding heavily. I fish them unweighted on a tandem rig as well as on jig heads. The long profile gives it a lot of wiggle in the water also.
