The Z-Man RaZor Shadz feature a segmented, fish-shaped body and forked tail that create an extremely lifelike baitfish profile. This bait doubles as a floating/diving soft plastic jerkbait and the perfect bladed swim jig trailer when conditions call for a bulkier ChatterBait profile to mimic full-bodied forage like bream, shad and herring. Can be fished unweighted on a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG style hook allowing for the bait to float on the surface at rest, while a sloped head causes the bait to dive on a twitching retrieve, creating a floating/diving action that cannot be duplicated.

finally a tough plastic swimbait

Deadly for So. Cal. bays and lagoons.Paired these with a 3/8 darter lead head. Caught multiple species (halibut, white sea bass, spotted bay bass, and calico bass) i would have to super glue them to the lead head but i think its more the lead heads fault. Overall great lure.

I use them mostly as trailer baits on spinners and chatter baits, and even had some success on a bucktail from the surf! Can’t go wrong with ZMAN products!

Solid Action

I tried this bait because I loved the other Zman swimbaits prior to this lure. When I tried this lure I liked the action, but did think that other Zman swimbaits have better action. The action on this bait is still good, but it is awkward to rig. I used this lure for bass in my lake.
Merchant Response:Rather than rigging it as a standalone swimbait - Try it on the back of a Chatterbait. Deadly!
