For quick-change, ultra-flash and extreme versatility, it's the ''EZ'' choice for success offshore!

EZ-TeaZer highly reflective billowing skirts feature Z-Man's exclusive SilaFlash material. Holographic foil is laminated with silicone for a flash that the fish and boat crew can see from quite a distance. Rig these skirts as individual lures, use them as nose-dressing on a trolled natural or soft plastic bait, or dress cedar plugs and similar lures.

The EZ Skirt press-fits onto the bullet-head collar to allow fast skirt change. Just pop the old skirt off, slip a new skirt on and you're ready to get back in the action.

Cheaper than sea witches

Defiantly cheaper than sea witches, but still seem to attract more strikes than just dead bait alone. Only real disadvantage to them v.s. a sea witch is the size of the cone the skirt makes.

Add this skirt to the front of a kingfish rig and it works very well. Plenty of strikes and a couple of hook-ups.

Well made and looks like it will do some lip ripping damage in the water. Doesn't look or feel cheap like other similar products

Great For Trolling Dead Baits

These work great for trolling dead baits for King and others. Always mix a few in my trolling spreads with Sea Witches.

Skirting-Up For Groupers
February 18, 2013
I bought 9 of these skirts (in 3 colors), not for use in garnishing trolled cigar minnows or small ballyhoos --the purpose I assume they were intended for-- but for use on a batch of home-built "Grouper Bombs" I am building for enticing various member of the grouper family in the offshore waters of south-eastern NC. The bombs will be used in conjunction with a small cigar minnow, pilchard, or strip of bait.

I had looked long and hard for a silicone skirt that would comfortably fit on the 1/4" 'neck' of a batch of 3 oz and 6 oz bare jigs heads I had purchased as the base for my bombs. I had managed to locate and purchase several sets of SilaFlash 4" Trolling Skirts that work just fine on the larger jigs, but they were really much too large for the smaller ones and would have added way to much drag to the jigs (I wanted the 3 oz jigs to be useful in up to ~75' of water).

Other than that, I had only been able to locate small "spinner bait" silicone skirts that had a tendency to split when I tried to place them on the 3 oz heads.

Then I found these skirts and ordered a few to try them out. Voila! Problem solved. I popped the shiny plastic "heads" out of the skirts and found that there was a well-made, flexible, ~3/16" tube/carrier in the middle of each skirt that easily accommodated the 3 oz jig heads, fitting them snugly but with no chance of tearing during placement.

I still have to paint the jig heads, add eyes, and make up some more kevlar-cord assist hooks, but at least I have found the perfect skirts for the 3 oz version of my bombs.
Pros
  • Lots of colors, nice bling-bling effect, perfect size for my needs.
Cons
  • I hate that I had to waste the small plastic heads the skirts were mounted on. Oh well, que sera, sera...
