Chatterbait Jack Hammer Bladed Jig3/4ozGreen Pumpkin$17.99 USD
Z-Man ChatterBait Jack Hammer Lures are designed by Elite Series pro Brett Hite in collaboration with Japanese luremaker Evergreen International. The flat-bottom, low center of gravity head and super thin, strong stainless steel blade enables these lures to start vibrating quickly and hunt in an erratic, side-to-side motion, just like a frantic baitfish. This lure's signature head and blade combo allows for deflection off cover easily and allows it to skip easily beneath docks and overhanging trees like no other bladed jig.

  • Low center of gravity head with 3D eyes and channel groove for blade protection
  • Double wire trailer keeper
  • Exclusive patented ChatterBait bladed swim jig design and stainless hex-shaped ChatterBlade
  • Detailed head and blade paint schemed and color-matched, hand-tied silicone skirting
  • Quality components include Gamakatsu heavy wire flipping hook and Decoy Egg Snap

Your Best Option

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best bladed jig there is. It's made out of high-quality components and it's a tried-and-true bass slayer. That being said, I do have a couple of grievances with it. The first is the notorious paint job issue. The paint on the jig head chips very easily. The second is the baitkeeper. The baitkeeper on the Jack Hammer is one of those thin wire keepers that absolutely shreds plastics. Personally I prefer the traditional lug-style keeper. Besides that, I love these baits. They're great for targeting largemouth, smallmouth, pickerel, pike, and pretty much any other predatory fish you could think of. I recently brought a few 1.25 oz models with me on a saltwater outing and had success catching stripers! Rig these up with a Zoom Super Fluke as a trailer and you'll be on 'em in no time.

Best Chatterbait on the Market

This bait simply does what a chatterbait is meant to do. Combine that with the sharpest hook I've ever seen, premium double wire trailer keeper, and a flawless skirt, you've got a bass catching machine.
Pros
  • The best components available.
Cons
  • Price

Don’t fish the chatter to much cause I tend to fish the cold fish. But my son loves the warm fish, cast and retrieve you know. So this summer while fishing with him I landed this monster with 12lb mono, no leader and four try’s to scope him! Got to luv it!
Pros
  • Good vibe, doesn?t get hung up to much!
Cons
  • None

I have been waiting to get the 1/2oz firecraw chatterbait for months. Finally got some and they didn’t let me down. Caught fish on it the first time out. Can’t wait to fish them in the fall.

Excellent chatterbait
September 22, 2020
This is an excellent lure. I fish it in milfoil weeds or near docks. I use a 4" Zako Swimbait trailer in pumpkin. You can really feel the rod pulse as you bring in the lure so you can imagine the vibration it gives off to the fish.
Pros
  • Great action and pretty weedless.
Cons
  • Really expensive.
