The Yo-Zuri Surface Cruiser Lures are versatile pencil poppers that can be fished with a stop and pop, walk the dog, or skipping action on a fast retrieve. They are perfectly weighted for long distance casting. The Surface Cruiser lures are the ideal surf lures for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Jack Crevalle and Roosterfish. These lures are part of the Big Game species lures and therefore have the ability to draw explosive strikes from species such as Tuna and Dorado.

I've had this lure for a little over a year and have used it in mainly in Costa Rica both from the surf for roosterfish and offshore for tuna and mahi. I have also tried this lure in the Northeast for stripers and bluefish but it does not seem to have been as effective as other pencil poppers on the market. This is a top tuna lure for me.

This popper casts thru the wind and is easy to walk on surface or pop. When you want a big profile, it fills the niche.

While this plug gets a lot of accolades, and has great action, the hooks are covered in rust after a week of use even though washed in fresh after each use.
