I have been ocean trolling hard for 25 years. These Magnums are among the very best. They are easily tuned, but they usually do not require it, unlike the Rapala 20s and 30s that nearly always require it when you first start using them. I am not sure that these dive as deeply as the Rapalas, but they can take more speed, and offer less resistence when you have tor reel them in. Those 30s will wear you out reeling in 3 or 4 of them. I'm not sure about the top speed, but something above 9 kts for these Magnums. Tough to keep 20s and 30s in the water above 7 kts. I've never had one leak, and the hardware is good. I always replace the forward hook with a double hook. They swim better with a double hook forward, and that forward treble will eventually cut a hole in the lure if you use it long enough. I also spray cold galvanizing paint on that steel trailing treble. Lasts MUCH longer if you do.
