Yo-Zuri Hydro Popper lures are compact topwater lures that feature an extra wide mouth which causes a very large splash, drawing fish in from long distances. These lures are perfectly weighted for long distance casting and the ideal lure for surf fishing. These lures are great for Striped bass, bluefish, Jack Crevalle, roosterfish, or for casting to tuna or dorado from the boat.

  • Polycarbonate body
  • Through wire construction
  • 3X strong treble hooks
  • Extra large eyes
  • Extra wide mouth
  • Heavy duty split rings

Every morning after sunrise the YFT go crazy for these. Size from 20-60 lb fish. My clients love this action on a Penn Spinfisher VI 7500 spinning combo. Fantastic battle.,

Have had some success with this lure but not as much as I hoped for. Bull popper in my opinion is the way to go from yo zuri.

Works well for mahi offshore on grass or debris, there is loq versatility in this lure because of the lack of a real cup its a difficult lure to use unless you know fish are there because it does not move a lot of water.
Pros
  • Great for mahi off of debris and weeds
  • good for short casts
Cons
  • hard to work for long casts
  • does not move a lot of water
  • trebles

Caught a few dorado with it off some floating kelp. I like the 6" Yo-Zuri Bull Pop better for light offshore stuff.
