The Yo-Zuri Bonita Lures are designed to be fished behind a trolling lead or straight off the rod tip. These lures are deadly on Wahoo and Tuna species. These lures are trolling lures that can be pulled from 6-15 knots and features a tight swimming action. These lures also feature Yo-Zuri's patented color change technology on the top of the bait and a smooth scale pattern on the sides.

Caught Dolphin first time in the water!

Went 76 miles out of JAX Beach to catch black fin tuna and dolphin. First 20 minutes in the water, I had two dolphin in the boat, both on this color combination 35 feet behind a 16 oz. trolling weight at 7 knots. U
Tried the other colors and got one black fin (30 pounds) on the silver combination.

Which wire and crimps would you recommend for wahoo trolling this lure?

To allow for the best action on the bonita, we would suggest using the AFW single strand tooth-proof wire somewhere between sizes 12 and 19. No crimps would be necessary, just a haywire twist on each connection. If you are looking to use a 49-strand wire we would suggest the AFW model number K480C-0. The appropriate crimps would be AFW model number J10F8B-B.
