The Construction of YETI Tundra coolers is carried to the extreme, because there are elite groups of outdoorsmen and adventurers who seek extremes. Desert sun has scorched these coolers. Blizzards have frozen them. Bears have gnawed on them. They have tumbled off trucks and cliffs. All the while, Tundra coolers have kept their cool. This is one ice chest that puts no conditions on reliability under the harshest conditions.

No mess, impact resistant YETI ICE packs (sold separately) will keep your YETI chilled!

YETI Tundra Series Cooler Features
  • One-piece, roto-molded polyethylene construction is extremely durable

From earlier reviews i have changed my stance on Yeti, Yeti overcharges.

Pelican coolers are by far and large better than Yetti coolers.Pelican coolers will hold ice for up to 9 days! and are certified to literally be bear proof...and that is not a joke joke, grizzly bear proof ! On top of it they have a lifetime warranty on them. They have built in cup holders, bottle opener, locking ez open latches, a very nice drain on the side that a garden hose could be attached to, and 2 built in rules for your fish on the top, and a stainless steel padlock holes for keeping people out. On top of all these other features, every single part that could go wrong by something you have done is $9.95. EVERY ONE! The worst part is the same 70qt from Yeti with not even half the features is $100 more than the Pelican. Yeti also lies to you about the actual quart size that they advertise on their coolers, if you buy a yeti 45 you are getting somewhere around 36. That 45 is not a quart size, but simply a model number. With the Pelicans you actually get the qt size you pay for. Oh and yeti do not hold as much ice longer, go and watch the Five Day Ice Challenge, Coolers.
Cons
  • Pelicans are Much better coolers than any of the competition with more features, and more sturdy by far for less money.Yeti overcharges

I love it!

I bought this for my husbands 30th Birthday. Because of the cost, I would never have purchased a Yeti just because, but due to the name, reputation & special occasion, it was perfect. I love the “high country” color. It’s beautiful. I loaded it with lobster and my husband was thrilled. We used it for a barbecue party the next day and used ice that was melting, but the cooler kept the drinks cold and there was still lots of ice 6 days later after the cooler was sitting in our 68-75 degree House. We camp a ton, all summer long, so I’m thrilled how well it keeps ice. It’s definitely a big cooler, but if I’m going to buy a cooler that will keep ice for a week, I want to be able to keep a weeks worth of drinks in it. We love it & highly recommend it. Make sure you buy a good lock that can’t be cut, that is the only downside of this cooler...if we leave it unattended, I know someone will try to take it!
Pros
  • Image from 6 days after sitting in the house. We used melting ice & no ice blocks. Pretty impressive.

The absolute best size for pier fishing
July 9, 2015
I have this Yeti Tundra 105 and I built a custom fishing cart around this. The fishing cart costs more than my mortgage payment...
Pros
  • The absolute best size for pier fishing, period!
Cons
  • Filled with fish, this bitch is heavy

My favorite Yeti cooler in the lineup...
December 16, 2014
For me, it makes the most sense. I don't own a boat, I'm not jacked-up on roids, and I want to be able to carry it if I had to. Listen to me when I tell you that this cooler makes the most sense out of the lineup for the guy that wants to fish all day, bring home some nice fish, wants to lift the cooler from truck to the house.
Pros
  • I am building a custom $2000 pier fishing cart all around this cooler. Need I say more???

If you want the best then buy a Yeti

Purchased this for a several day fishing trip along the Oregon coast this fall. Awesome insulation and indestructible build. Just threw it in the back of the truck and hauled it up to Oregon. Filled it with fish and crab. Everything stayed ice cold for days. Got the goods home to CA for all the hungry mouths. If you want the best then buy a Yeti.

Well worth the money

I havent had a chance to use it yet but it made very well. Rugged and with all the other good reviews out there you cant go wrong with this cooler. Its to big to put under my leaning post on my boat so it will stay in the back of my truck.
Pros
  • Removable tray
