great replacement product for your original latches. Over time and sun exposure and user error...they will dry rot and tear. They were easy to replace with the proper tools to remove the pin. A small pry bar and a hammer will expedite the replacement of the latches. I recommend you change them both if only 1 tears. This could be avoided if they had a handle inset into the lid that was great than 1/4" deep.
