Not Your Father's Boots

I had a pair of these 30 years ago when they were made in the USA. They were tough, and lasted a long time.
Now they are made in China. They are still expensive, but the quality and materials have gone way down. For instance the strap on the side used to be made of cloth reinforced rubber. Now it is just rubber. The very first time I tried to tighten the strap through the new plastic buckle, then end of the strap simply tore off before the strap even moved through the buckle. Typical cost-cutting lousy quality.
Don't buy these, you will be disappointed if you ever owned the original USA made ones.
