I have a Shimano Tiagra 50w Wanted do use this adjustable but system but not sure if I need a number to four or six. Did not know if I need a short or a long. Need some help to make sure I purchase the right one. Im thinking I need a number four Long but not sure maybe I need a number two Long. Let me know what you think.

Hi Ken, The correct Winthrop T-10X Positional rod butt will be determined by what rod you have. A rod rated for a #4 will not accept a #6 rod butt. Depending on what rod you have I would recommend the Winthrop T-10X #4 Positional Butt. https://www.tackledirect.com/winthrop-t-10x-positional-butt-4-standard-silver.html This would be accomodate your Shimano Tiagra 50W as long as the rod can have a #4 rod butt.
