Good but could be better
April 24, 2017
Works well but could be a little thicker for a better fit in the rod holders. Lost one because it stuck to the rod and fell in the gulf. My buddy was.not ready for it when he pulled the rod and over it went.
Pros
  • Strong
Cons
  • A little thin in the rod holder

Works great except...
June 22, 2014
Works great to troll two lines on my small boat. Only issue is that my older Ande stand ups have a bigger butt and don't slide in and out. I ripped off the rubber seal on the rigger and it works great now, no hang ups (especially leaning halfway over the gunnel). I just make sure to have all my reels clipped in.

Great way to add rod storage!
May 24, 2013
If you're tired of having fishing poles laying on the deck this is a great way to add rod storage to any boat. I like the ability to fish one pole long on the surface and a chunk closer to the boat out of the same rod holder. It is also convenient to have when using a bait cutting station that occupys a rod holder. These are high quality rod holders built to last!
Pros
  • added rod storage
  • convenience of fishing 2 rods from 1 holder
Cons
  • none

Will they work in an angled rod holder
1 Answers
It would still slide in but it would all depend on the angle you want your rod to be at.

Are there lanyards attached to this rod holder that I am seeing in the picture?
1 Answers
The Wahoo Industries Double Rod Rigger (Item 108) does not come with the lanyard as shown in the picture. The picture is just an example photo of what it will look like with a lanyard attached.

The double rigger appears to insert into an existing rod holder with a 1.5" opening... What stops the double rigger from turning/spinning ...is it locked into the existing rod holder somehow to maintain the two rod positions?
1 Answers
The pin that is in the rod holder fits into the slot on the bottom of the double rigger.
