Bouncing these babies across the bottom of the inlets of NJ (dressed with a GULP swimming mullet) makes for a busy day filled with fluke and weakfish.

Well made jighead for the money

Typically use these for jigging soft plastics and they have performed very well. The black nickel hook is stout and has been doing well for me with everything from fluke to stripers

Great Keitech Head
April 19, 2018
This is THE head to use for keitechs and other small swimbaits. The heads have a durable coating on them and will stand up to a lot of banging off cover. It holds baits on well with it's double bait holder.
Pros
  • Effective bait holder

Awesome design!
September 5, 2017
Unlike other jig heads, plastic swimbaits wont slide back on the head after catching a fish. Having two prongs really keeps a plastic firmly in place. Only complaint is they don't make these heads is heavier sizes.
Cons
  • Wish they came in a 1 oz size.

VMC really does a nice job with this jig head. The large sturdy hook and the narrow bait keeper are perfect.

Great jig head, gives every swimbait a distinct swimming action and the details of the head look so real from above the water. Excellent hook quality and strength! Will be buying in more sizes and colors.

I haven't fished with jigheads. I'm targeting large and smallmouth bass using 4" - 8" softbaits. What size(s) are recommended and why? Thanks for your advice!
1 Answers
For the 4 and 8 inch baits I would use the 1/8 or the 1/4 for a lighter finesse application.
