how is the spring used? where does the hook go? i see that the spring screws into the plastic but i cant figure out where the hook goes

Hi Robert, The VMC Spring Keeper is used by the top hook part gets put through the eyelet of the hook. The coil is used to center soft plastics on the hook. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
