February 19, 2022
I love this hook! they are reliable, well made and consistent over the years.

For snapper and yellowtail Live bait fishing there is no equal.
Pros
  • Very durable, can be reused for about a month consistently
Cons
  • To no fault of the hooks own they do rust after a month or so of consistent use.

This hook makes an excellent trailer hook for trolling
March 12, 2015
While I don't often use trailer hooks while trolling, I've found that these VMCs are quite effective when I do. I'm not a fan of the small treble hooks that are popular among kingfishermen. Trebles are just too hard to get out of toothy jaws -- particularly when a fish is to be released. These live bait hooks are an effective alternative.
Pros
  • Sharp, strong, and work well as trailer hooks
Cons
  • None, really
